The Italian culture is extremely rich in architecture, different arts, music and last but certainly not least, the food. Italy is the home of the Roman Empire and also a main part of the Renaissance. Some of the most famous figures of this time were Julius Caesar and Nero. The population of Italy is around 60 million people and the largest part of that population which is around 27 percent lives in the Northwest of Italy. The largest city by population is Rome, Rome has over 2.8 million people that currently reside there. The smallest city is Morterone with just a population of 30. The official language that is spoken is Italian, and about 93 percent of the population speaks it.
